Every autuamn The Frankfurt Book Fair makes the hearts of book lovers beat like a drum. The forthcoming edition has once again a lot to offer. Here is what comes:
Buying books was formerly only permitted on Sunday - the last day of the fair. That was not a popular decision of the organizers and this year book lovers have the whole weekend.
ARTS+ and B3 Biennale will be together in Hall 4.1
The ARTS+ is a creative festival which is part of the Book Fair starting 2016 and now will be together with B3 Biennale of the Moving Image to become a powerful creative event. 25 films, 35 video artworks, interactive installations from the field of artificial intelligence (AI) and a large number of virtual reality experiments will be shown - or rather, you can experience them. To be found in Hall 4.1
The Book Fair gets bigger and into the heart of Frankfurt
The fair site, with the booths and stages, is one side of the Frankfurt Book Fair. But the big events which include parties and other activities are more and more sought. A fine example is the BOOKFEST (the Frankfurter Buchmesse Festival), which turns Frankfurt into a stage which brings together exhibitors, visitors and people interested in literature, authors, artists, publishers, partners, Frankfurt institutions and cultures from all over the world.
OPEN BOOKS is a big reading festival which is more than 10 years old. The program includes
"Literatur im Römer", "OPEN BOOKS KIDS" , "SLOW READING ROOM".
The Frankfurt Book Fair 2020 take place in October. The fair is open to trade visitors and traditionally the last two days is also open to the public.
